Recipes needed please!

Jasper is one next week and as I make everyone in the family a birthday cake, thought I'd better make him one so he doesn't feel left out

Any ideas appreciated - I've done a quick search on liver cake and can't find the recipe - what do your dogs most enjoy?

LIVER CAKE

12 ozs  Liver
6 Tablespoons Plain Flour - can use Self Raising if you really want it to rise
3 Large Eggs
Garlic (as much or little as you want)

Mix in a food processor.

Turn out onto a tray and bake in oven until cooked.

(Bake like you were baking a fruit cake)

A friend of mine put candles in a large Pork pie so her grandchildren could also have a slice at their dog's birthday party :D :D :D

You can also make 2 liver cakes using cake tin's (as you would a Victoria Sponge), fill it with a pot of some tasty paste then ice the top with cream cheese & if you really want, buy some of that writing icing & write "Happy 1st Birthday Jasper" on it!! :D :D  Have I done this? YES & the dogs lurve it :D :p :D

I normally use Ox liver (as I buy it in bulk with my food) but don't think it really makes a lot of difference.  As for temp & time, erm .................... can't remember!!  I think about the same as a cake?  I normally microwave when making liver cake but when it's been birthday cakes I use tins so just throw them in the oven & keep an eye on it till it looks done!!

FYI,chicken livers smell the least ;) Beef liver tends to stink out the house and it tends to linger, make sure you leave your windows open..

Well guys, Jasper is very happy with his birthday cake, in fact I think he has said in his own way that it's delicious  he was allowed a  taste  last night (birthday eve) and some this morning and have to say he loves it - thanks for the recipes and ideas!

May practice re-call with this later!
