UPDATE :
WHAT a DIFFERENCE!!!!!!
I hate to admit this, but, I think she has had an infection for a while :( :( :(
I thought the artheritis was getting worse, the reason she didnt want to move very far, and very wobbly coming down the stairs.
Well she has been on these antibiotics for 2 days and she is walking up and down the stairs as she used to 2-3 months ago :) :)
She now sleeps beside my bed not at the foot where she has since I moved here last year.
Her movement is much improved :D
She is eating normally, and poohing normally.
And I think a bit of the gravel came out this morning!!!!!

Another question.
She was sedated until 1pm and I picked her up at 2.30.
I took her to mums as I was working (not that I got much work done!!!)
And when I picked her up, mum said that she had walked from her bed to the back door and there was a line of wet which she cleaned up.
When I picked up her bed, I realised it was damp as well.
So my thought on it is, she realised she was weeing and walked to the dor to get out but couldnt stop herself.
She has never done this before!!!! She is housetrained unless she is left for a period in a room with a carpet!!!!
I presume it is because of the sedation and now she is alot more awake she will be fine.
Anyone else had this with a dog that was sedated???

Oh glad to hear she is home with you :)

I wouldn't worry too much about the wetness, like you said it was probably due to her being a bit groggy, at least she knew she wanted to wee even if she couldn't make it out the door in time. The first time Maddie had an op, she was so wobbly and unsteady for the rest of the day, don't even think she went out till the early hours and then I had to almost drag her out.

Here's some more {{{hugs}}} - for you :)

As Missie says, I'm sure it's the  GA that's making her a bit groggy, just keep an eye on her but sure everything is going to be fine now :)
Relax and enjoy the weekend :) :)

Oh and There has been no other leakages since so am sure it was the sedation she had :)
Thankyou
Lea :)

UPDATE :-
Went to vets for checkup today. Different vet to the two who treated Gemma.
He has put her on another 5 days anti biotics. Was going to give her some anti inflammatary's but then said she was on Rimadyl so said they will be fine.
Sai they havnt a clue what the infection was, but probably totally unconnected to gravel in stomach. Also said that the gravel may never cme out and he had done PM's on dogs that have it in their stomacks, and it had been there for years!!!!!
Said she should be fine after this course of anti biotics :d
