I should know the answer to this but I'm not sure - my import bitch will be 12 months old on 4th of August and our club Championship show is being held on the....4th August ! - can I still enter her in puppy ? I've looked up the regulations and it says " for puppys not exceeding 12 months old on the first day  of the show....well she won't be exceeding 12 months but she will be 12 months ...anyone know for sure ?

Im sure you can as I entered by puppy in minor puppy when she was 9 months that day (its was a few years ago though but Im sure the rules havent changed) she won the class and no-one questioned it.  As you say your pup is not exceeding 12 months

Yes Yvonne it is "exceeding" so at 12 months on the day she is still eligable for puppy

I don't show myself so don't have a techinical answer but mathematically your pup would be a year and a day as it is not possible to have two lots of 4th August in the same year :)

Yes you can enter your puppy in the puppy class.

Yvonne, you  could always rattle off an e-mail to the KC....that way you will be 100% sure and have evidence of it, just in case she wins a CC or something! Then you have the proof they told you it was ok?! And IF someone tries to say she is overage for her class??Just a thought! Good Luck anyways! love Dawn X
