Hi I am getting a bit confused and worried and need some urgent advice! PLEASE
As some of you know I have a Bernese that is pregnant, we are taking her temp every evening and it seems to be hovering around 100.5.
Atfer speaking to her breeder this evening they have told me it is actually her 65 day today and not her 63 day as I had thought, she had 4 days of tie mating from the 20/01/07
We took her temp at 8pm as usual and it was 101.08 the breeder was worried about this, but now we have taken it again 1 1/2 hours later and it is 100.5.
We have been told that by now she should be digging and more restless want to get the pups out, she has dug at her blanket a couple of times but not excessive.

We have felt puppy movement this evening, and my girl is haevy breathing and Has been a little restless but is settle at present.
I tried to take her for a small walk this afternoon but she was not keen at all, very unlike her!

I would just like to know if anyone could share experience of late pregnancy etc especially with the larger breeds as we thought everything was going ok?????????

Relax and chill, nature won't be beat! lol

She might not have taken on the first day, but the 4th! ;) If she is starting to get restless I'd stay by her tonight, you never know :)

You really need to be taking her temperature at least twice a day, night and morning, to get a picture of what's going on.

thanks guys I am a bit calmer now!
I am calm because I can still feel pups moving, and her temp is 100.5, not sure why it was 101.08 at 8 pm this evening but she is not stressing so I will stay calm for her sack!
We have been taking her temp Am and Pm for the last couple of days and its like a yo yo!
I think my breeder just worried because of the rise in temp (101.08) my breeder is a very kind a helpful person and wants the best for the dogs.
I will take her temp in morning, that should be day 66 according to my breeder from her first mating and day 63 of her last mating.
