After doing months of research on Rottweilers i have decided that this is the dog for me, i am little confused regarding the costs of a pup, what would be the appropriate range of costs to pay for a Rottweiler pup.
my email is garrybarnes1@aol.com.

thanks

Hi, welcome, hopefully a Rottie person will answer you, but I think the average price for most pedigree well bred well reared puppies from succesfully health tested parents will cost in the region of £450 upwards. Please make sure the puppy's parents have had the relevant hereditary testing for the breed with good results. I would be suspect of puppies for sale for less than £400. Do make sure they are registered with The Kennel Club and not the Dog Lovers Club.

When we brought our rotti about 9 mths ago we were told by a well respected breeder not to pay more than £500 even though we were looking for a show quality bitch. When we found our breeder they were asking £600. We paid it, the breeder had the type of dog I was looking for and bred for temperment.
It was the best £600 we spent, our rotti is sweet natured and beautiful.
