Just listening, on Radio 4, to the radio programmes broadcast by Falkland Islands Radio, back in 1982, when Argentine invaded the Falklands. Absolutely fascinating - just listen! 93.5 FM

I was living at RAF Leuchars at the time and remember it well :( I'd rather not go through it again.

No Lindy - this was how it was experienced by the Falkland Islanders in the two/three days up to and including the invasion - how they heard the news through the radio and broadcasts by the governer and the DJ on duty during the night of the invasion, and experiences of the islanders themselves.

Oops! Sorry. Just mentioning it brought back so many memories, some not very good. The loneliness felt by the wives was awful to see, but the camaraderie was something else. I sat for a while last night going through the memories. Nice red puffy eyes this morning. ;)
