Clearly an absolute tragedy in either direction, but slightly confused by how differently this is being reported on the BBC. No mention of either the victim or attackers having dogs. I wonder why?
I must admit when I read the first report I thought it was making a rather large supposition that it was anything to do with the dog which did not even seem to have been taken.
On the face of it it would appear that the boy who was being chased by a gang did have a dog but the dog wasn't the reason for the attack. Perhaps, just perhaps, he has been threatened before and thought the dog would act as a deterent. Seems the gang were hell bent of doing the teen serious harm. What is this country coming to?
The first report said that the murdered boy was part of a rival gang. Gang murders are sadly quite common and the bully breeds that they keep as status symbols are just accessories.
