Who uses this for the pups in weaning?

if the mum has a good supply of milk why give another forumer to upset they tummy to much milk .
when i wean my pup i never give them extra milk supplement they have days of raw mincebeef,then the 4th day mush up nature diet with water ,then bye 5 weeks which mine are know they are on a dry food mixed with nature diet or pedigree puppy meat.or scamble egg made  with water and a teaspoon of butter,and a bowel of water.i found that given another milk supplement upset their tummys. mum milk the best.gollie still feed her puppys and will do untill they leave at 8 weekls and they be on 4 feds a day at the moment 3 day at 5 weeks

Thanks for that Briedog.  I've found that mum likes Lactol more than pups do!

Similar to briedog- start on mince then go to mushed up dry food that's v. runny, gradually making it less and less sloppy- pups are all then weaned onto dry food by the time they leave :-)

Mine are simlar to Briedog too, except that both Mum and Pups get goats milk, the pups get it in their scrambled egg and rice pudding meal and the Mum gets it first of all neat for the first week or two then diluted with water, the same with the pups, they love it, both my bitches have been picky eaters whilst pregnant and for the first week or two afterwards and Ive found goats milk to be an absolute lifesaver in getting something into them.

I had no joy with the pups on scrambled eggs and goats milk, Mums loved it but the pups seemed to climb in the dried food bowl to eat and leave all the semi sloppy stuff I had made up (which was Arden Grange with water and mashed up pedigree puppy).

In a way they made it simpler for me, but I just worried that maybe I wasn't doing enough! LOL.
