Jack my GSD is 18 months old and over the last few nights has weed on the kitchen floor:eek: Before this he always barked to go out, i just can't understand it:confused::confused:When i go to bed i always let him out, i have now started to go out with him just to make sure he is actually having a wee, which he does.  Can anyone shed some light on this problem and hoe i can stop him doing it.

Many thanks
Jane

maybe he has a medical problem going on which a trip to the vets might shed light on. i can understand your concern, if my dog didnt ask to go out i would be pretty shocked, not because of the mess but because of the strangeness of the behaviour. im sure someone will be along soon with some other ideas. enjoy the sunshine.

I would take a sample to the vet he may have cystitis and need some antibiotics .
Is he drinking more?
have you change his food onto dry from wet as this can aslo make him take in more fluid than usual.?

I agree with everyone else, when one of my boys done this last year it was because he had a kidney infection, a simple course of antibiotics sorted it out :)

Just to give you an update.  I've taken Jack to the vets this morning and he's going back tomorrow at 9 so the vet can run some tests, blood and urine.

Glad to see he's been seen by a vet, wishing you both all the best with the tests and results.
