I need some good name ideas for a black golden retriever cross puppy, he is solid black, chunky and very fluffy.

I love the name Krewgur (as in Freddie!)
Also Vinnie, Corey, Toby or Todd!

My choice was Harley but every time I call him my other dog Barney comes, I am worried I am confusing Barney.

Same here Sandie , i have a Harley a miniature apricot poodle and two miniature schnauzers Hayley and Heidi... not even i get it right ... lol

tho i had two golden retrievers Bilko and Bracken,

I like people names rather than names like spot,shep,rover

I am still using Harley, but thinking about Broc, Bracken, Finn, Jonah and Leo. The problem is no matter what I try I keep coming back to Harley.
I am wondering if Barney will get use and realise the difference.

Sounds just like my Harley, he is a big black fluffy thing and looks just like a bear.

next door neighbour has a similar dog and he is called Chester

mines do know the difference, they know there own name but will also come when i call one of them....

lol just seems to be me who gets mixed up...they know who they are :)

I always thought that Diesel would be a good name for a black dog pup!  Suspect its attraction has a generational thing to it though as my dad thought i'd gone mad - I was thinking more along the lines of the jeans designer rather than the petrochemical!
