had problems with my staffie and her food .about a week ago she started vomiting after her dry biscuits eukanuba  . but she wil keep down soft foods like rice and chicken . vets recomending chappie out of the tins is this any good ?. they say she might have developed an intolerence to the dry food as soon after eating she is sick but still after more food.

Chappie has been around donkeys years and comes in very useful at times. If it suits your Staffie, then stick with it :) I always keep a tin on standby as it is very easy on the dogs tummies if they are under the weather.

I am sure she will like it. I have yet to meet a dog that doesn't but no doubt someone will be along shortly to say their dog hates it :rolleyes: Why not try a small tin and see how you get on?

well ive just fed her a pouch of pedigree from around the corner shop kept it down  no problem . can they have an intolerence to a food like overnight.

A lot of dogs that have insulin dependant diabetes are recommended to be fed on chappie. It looks and smells disgusting but is very good in certain circumstances. I am the same as admin and always keep a tin or two in.

years ago my lovely old crossbreed developed cancer, the only food he could tolerate was tinned chappie. I think its the best 'standby' food you can get.

I agree with Admin. Tinned Chappie is brilliant, especially when dogs are off-colour. I always have a few tins in stock. :)

I mainly feed raw but always take tinned Chappie when I travel to friends and family.  I'm not very welcome turning up with a couple of bin bags of raw meat! ;)

I wonder if Naturediet fish and rice or chicken and rice could be used as an alternative to Chappie. 

Possibly. Very pricey, though.

My cocker puppy has been on a prescription diet bought through the vets due to an ongoing tummy upset. I tried to get her on to Chappie but she wouldn't even look at it (sorry Admin ;-) ) She really is such a picky eater though - won't even touch foods designed for fussy toy dogs :rolleyes:  My other 4 dogs love the Chappie though - like others have said, great for tummy upsets
