Hi
Would like some advice please...my Dog is 14 Months old and for the last 7 months been on Eukanuba vet diet Dermatosis  FP she doesn't have a skin complaint but an iffy stomach and vet recommend this ...have to say she's fine on it and she as never had the runs on this food (but I'am sure I've read that this is not the greatest food for her to be on) so with this in mind I was thinking of trying Wafco Salmon & Potato or James wellbeloved Lamb & vegetables but it has to be Hypo-allergenic....Or should I just leave things as they are   Thanks Annie

Our puppy Charlie has had an iffy tummy since the day we picked him up, he is now 11 months old - We have tried him on various foods! He is now on a salmon & potato food which i can not reccomend enough, we first had him on the Wafcol but recently changed him, very slowly so not to upset him onto the Wainwrights as the nutritional content is equal and it is almost £15 per bag cheaper.  He is now thriving on this food along with 3-5  charcoal bonios a day, which are excellent for the poops and wind.  He also had 2 scambled eggs made only with a small amount of goats milk (easier on their digestion than cows milk and its not that expensive from tesco) every other day as a lunchtime treat, again which we gradually introduced, and we have now had no iffy tummy for months.  The trick is to make any change a very slow gradual change.  Im sure there are others who can advise, this diet may not work for all dogs, but it has completely transformed our puppy's health and weight.

Hope that helps

Chrissy

If she were mine and was doing well on Eukanuba I'd leave her on it :)

If it suits her and agrees with her, why fix what isn't broken?

I fed Euk for quite a few years and out of all the commercial diets we've tried, and believe me there has been quite a few, the 2 science diets, Hills SP and Euk were the 2 that suited my dogs best.....by far.   I let the dogs tell me what agrees with them. :-)

If your dog has found a food that it is happy with and improves her overall general health why play russian roulette?

My rotti had exactly the same problems as you described and I was told Skinners Field and Trial Hypoallergenic Duck and Rice, she is doing wonderful on it and its only around £16 a bag
