out walking yesterday on the farm track, wearing a hood as it was windy/raining, my dog is never far away but i thought, "where has he gone " and stopped and turned round only to find him an inch behind me(where he had been all along) and fell over him completely and ended up lying flat out looking up into his face.

reminds me of the time a few weeks ago when hubby walked into the bedroom as the cat was running out to stop himself falling ontop of the cat he threw himself over her and landed on his back with arms and legs in the air  .....well I fell about laughing... tears the lot of course ...he wasnt amused.

 Morgan , it must be catching !! i was walking down by a busy A road today with my 4 dachsies & chinese crested on the way for a run round Catterick racecourse , when a rumbling tank went past &my crestie jumped over the dachsies in fright , right infront of me, i tripped over flat on my face  just as as the vehicle following the tank, wich was full of sqaddies , went passed !! all i heard were cheers & laughter & whistling !!! i was soooooo embarrased !!! :D

A couple of weeks ago my flatcoat decided to run into the side of my legs suddenly and I was straight on my knees in the mud :D (and unfortunately there was an audience!)

I often lost my Beardie/Border X  would look all round for him only to have people shout "he's behind you" :D He was a horror on walks as his idea of bliss was to do heelwork, usually at shoulder level!!

unfortunately every day!!! With four rotts, one of them is bound to trip me up, make me look a pratt or just act the angel when they've done something naughty

I own 6 Belgians - their whole purpose in life appears to be to make 'mum' look like the worst kind of mad dog woman - and I swear they laugh at me too - ever seen a Belgian grin ? -

next time I'm keeping goldfish

My 4 girls seeing a cat, me landing flat out on the pavement and then being dragged for a few feet. I jumped up quickly, luckily only bruised, and hoped I hadn't been seen. Not that lucky though as a neighbour came running out to see if I was okay!!!

most of the time

the worst one being out with one of the shepherds, whilst out i noticed some children sat directly in our path, so pulled mercy close so she couldnt lunge (she has been teased in the past so doesnt think much of kids) as we were crossing the road she clocked the kids went to lunge and bark as she did so i stepped forward, she used my foot as leverage and i went smack on the floor in the middle of the road, after all this the kids were still sat in the way and i had to manouvre a tense mercy and my embarassed self around them

With small dogs they don't often pull me over, but I frequently have to make ungainly leaps when I find someone underfoot! Most memorable was our Gold GC test with Ellie when I had to do an A recall type thing and the hall was REALLY slippery. She came hurtling so fast she couldn't stop, slid right under my feet with me doing a mad leap to keep from treading on her, swivelled back to the correct side of me and we carried on, me and the examiners and onlookers all fighting to hold back the laughter! :-D

The other day, in the park, and this silly chap was on the other side of the park (a long way away) and let his dog come bounding over. My friend and I were jumping and waving for him to call his dog back since my friends dog dislikes other dogs but as predicted he kept strolling at a snails pace. My friends dog came close to me and I reached out to grab her collar but she shot through my arms like a bar of soap and I was laying flat on my face!! Very funny. I am laying there with 4 dogs running round me, my friend screaming at this chap who was still a way away and I was wetting myself imagining that music to Benny Hill :D

my mum once came a cropper- we were sat on some heather and rougher grass on the side of a steep track, when a couple came past with a big male lab- in which the reaction of mums gsd was to drag mum who still had hold of lead down through the heather and gorse on her front with her arm stretched out holding tight on the lead, about 20 feet to the dog!

it was so embarrasing- i just kept thinking 'LET GO!', for some reason she didnt, and had scratches al over her face, neck, arms, chest and even belly!ouch...

our old weim once sprinted into the backs of my knees when i was 11- did a somersault! wasnt happy with jakey at all!

How often do I look a fool?

Most days with Jasper :eek::eek::eek:
He has pulled me over, boxed me , and as someone pointed out he is taller than me when he stands on his back legs so I know this looks 'interesting' to onlookers!

A few weeks before going on holiday, I was out walking Roxy and to get her to follow me I turned and ran excitedly away. Roxy, joining in the fun, ran after me and on reaching my side we both noticed a low wall in Roxy's path. So Roxy adjusted her trajectory and ran right in front of me - which took my legs from underneath me. I skidded along my knees and hands - skinning all  - along the concete path. With Roxy stood looking over me clearly wondering what I was doing when I came to a halt.

She's takes my husband hill surfing when it's really muddy - she pulls him down, he slips all over the shop and I laugh at him. If he will insist on wearing entirely useless trainers then it's his own fault.

Not every day but .... during training class because she got excited at other dogs' "finding" I didn't realise she had run around me a couple of times. When it was her turn to find she took off like a lunatic and it was too late by the time I realised she'd wrapped the long line around my ankles  Let your imagination go.

First time going through the tunnel she wouldn't so I crawled halfway in with treats and when she saw me dived in all over my head and back giving the class a right old laugh. BTW it was a very muddy day, Worzel Gummage eat yer heart out.

The other day I was watching a couple of horses in a tiny fenced off area and was talking to the owner when 'she' crouched and did a poo right in front of him, she couldn't have got any closer to him

When our dog first entered the teenage stage he refused to come out of the sea. He spent 45 minutes swimming up and down between two breakwaters pointedly looking out to sea whenever he drew level with me and totally ignored my existence let alone my attempts to recall him.

So it was off with the shoes and trousers and wade out to get him. He saw me coming and started to swim faster out to sea. So I had to swim as well -  by now just wearing  my t-shirt and underwear . I took this drastic step after checking nobody else was on the beach and out of sheer desperation. I caught hold of his collar and oiked him back to the beach where, to my embarrasment, three dog walkers had stopped to watch this mad woman taking a dip with her dog in the middle of October :D

I have only recently plucked up the courage to walk again at the beach just in case I meet any of the spectators :D

I was reminded today by my friend while walking our dogs together of the incident some time ago,it still makes her laugh, her bulldog ran to greet me and I ,fool that I am,knelt down to wrap my arms round him to say hello,he ploughed straight into me,knocked me flat,I was a perfect x laying on the ground,I also forgot how much he loves to grab a lead and pull,I had my two leads round my neck,so he grabbed one,and I found I was being strangled aswell,i had to pull really hard to release myself, with my own dogs just looking at me,patiently waiting for me to get up and continue thier walk.

I wouldn.t know where to start ,the amount of times I,ve come a cropper .
with my two
The worst time was two years ago when travelling down hill at speed  on leads as shepherds do one of themf ound an interesting smell and put her nose down so that left nowhere for me to go only over the top of them both. I ended up sat on the salt pile at the side of the road with a broken wrist wondering how on earth I was going to get home which was a mile away with two GSDs one of who is rather a monkey with other dogs mobile was of course in pocket  on side where I couldn,t use my hand luckily knowing mostly everyone in our village we got picked up and travelled home in style by the owner of the local abbatoir (not in the meat wagon but in his brand new range rover with me trying not to bleed on the back seat and the two girls sat in the back like little princesses.)
Broke my glasses I,d only had a week luckily covered by insurance and got six weeks sick leave because of it.

Well where do you start, it has been our boy several times.  He once came running full belt to me only to change direction and skid then ploughed into my legs so i was air-bourne then landed on my bum in the wet mud. Very lady like NOT !!!!!!  He also had me again when he saw a rabbit, this was with his halti on aswell, i saw it but not in time.  He went for it and the only way to stop him was to be dragged through the mud on my bum again, lovely walk home, wet jeans etc. I was so mad with him.  He just looked as if to say, ' I could have got that if it wasn't for you holding on'.
Love them, Yvonne.
We all had a good laugh when i got home, my boys thought it was very funny.
