I've not had anything like this on my dogs, (but I've only had 2 dogs) if I saw something like you discribe I'd have to take them to the vets, to be on the safe side and to put my mind at rest!

I would take her to the vet and have it checked out, any lumps and bumps need a check, just in case. My old boy had a cauliflower type lump, sore, which came up quite suddenly. It was skin cancer, the vet did a wonderful job, removed it all and he lived till 13, his big old heart being the reason he was pts. Many lumps and bumps are ok, but its best to check. Good Luck.

Hi
I would have it checked out, Bruce also had a cauliflower lump on his leg, which was removed by the vet.  I did not realise how much the lump was bothering him until it was removed as he was so much happier afterwards.

I had the fright of my life a few weeks ago when I noticed a lump on the side of my dog's leg.  It was the size of a golf ball.  I took her to the vets who put in a syringe and straight away said that it was a cist.  She drained some of it and gave an antibiotic jab and said it should go down which it did after a couple or so weeks.

You have a vet check though to make sure it is nothing.  It has to be dealt with

Definately get your dog to the vets. They will be able to perform a fine needle aspiration and send the resulting cells off for testing. A mast cell tumour can come up very quickly and can only be small in some cases. It really isn't worth the risk. Get your dog checked and hopefully all will be well

my westie had a small lump on the back of his neck under his collar for 5 years or more. the vet felt it and said it could be a cyst but as it never bothered him or got any bigger they left it alone. He was PTS in dec last year at the age of 10 years, due to heart problems but the lump never got any worse.
