Topic Dog Boards / General / Affix maintenance online

Hi everyone,

Just a really quick question.  I pay my affix maintenance online and have just done so this morning.  I can't remember whether the Kennel Club send a confirmation e-mail after payment has been made.

I haven't received one yet - so does anybody know if they do?

Thanks

We did it online but from memory we didn't have a reciept sent. May have changed, I think we just had a confirmation e-mail stating that your query had been aknowledged !! :rolleyes:

Give them a ring to make sure, I know their site is encrypted so your credit card details will be safe as when you type in your details it goes to https/ which is secure. x

Do you get reminders about affix renewals??

Through the post, yes.

I pay mine by direct debit and it annoys me that they do not acknowledge the renewal each year.  I don't know if they would let me know if the bank didn't pay it but I just have to try and remember to check the direct debit still shows on my list on my online banking account whenever I think about it.  Still there at the moment :)

The short answer is no they wouldn't. This very thing happened to me. :(

Last year I discovered that my affix maintainence hadn't been paid for three years, something had gone wrong with the direct debit. I didn't find out about it till I tried to log onto the KC site. It was just as the site was updated and the log on thingy was for affix holders only. :confused: I got a e-mail saying I wasn't an affixholder :eek:

Mind you a very helpful Miss Evans reinstated my affix on payment of the arrears. But I'm going to have to be more vigilant in future. So I don't trust the reminder system, in my case it just didn't work.

hi,
I applied for my affix on line on the 17th Jan this year the payment was talking from my account on the 20th of Jan , i didn't receive anything from them.. just assumed because the money was taken from my account that everything was OK. a month later i contacted them and they where unable to find my form:eek:. told me that they would contact me later that day they said that they where currently dealing with requests that where put through on the 15th of FEB. waited a further 2 days and when no one got back to me contacted them again. they told me that they where having problem that day with the online services and that they would contact me again later that day once they had found the detail.. i did get a call later that day saying that they found my online request and that it was being dealt with, the lady was very helpful and said if there was any problems they would email me to let me know. if not i would receive the paper work within the next 7- 10 days .. 6 days later my paper work arrived...
so now just have to wait until it is published in the April gazette.

:cool::cool:
