In the other post folks were talking about NFC for puppies 4 months and up. My question is...
In NFC do they do everything the other dogs do....Such as being gone over by the judge, go through their paces and stacking....
And the only difference is that the pups are just not considered for the placements?
Or is there a special class for them?
Thanks
julie

As far as I know it just means they're admitted to the show, and not judged at all.

NFC stands for Not For Competition, so no, they are not allowed in the ring, nor does a judge look at them!

No, sorry it doesn't mean they can step inside the ring.
It only means they can attend the show. They will be allocated a bench at benched shows though alongside any other of your dogs that are going to be there. Other than that they can just be walked around the show gaining experience of show noises and crowds and other dogs big and small. :)

Thanks for the quick replies. Thats great. I wasn't sure. When I wanted to show my Belgian he was already over the 6months and I was always told he could not attend any shows he wasn't entered in.
So can you do NFC even if you dont have any other dogs in the show? If I start to show I will only have one I can take as I cannot show my Belgian's.
Thanks

Entering NFC means you can take your dog into the show premises and socialise him to familiarise him with the show atmosphere. He can't be exhibited or 'gone over' by a judge. To be honest, if he's over 6 months and has been to ringcraft classes you might as well enter him in a class and see how he gets on.
If there are no specific Belgian classes you could enter him in Any Variety Pastoral or Any Variety Not Separately Classified.

Why can't you show the Belgians?
Not ALL shows allow NFC, it will say in the schedule if they do.

My Belgians are not the ones who are 6 months. I am hoping for a puppy whom I can show in the future.
My Belgians are almost 5 and almost 3. I cannot show because my male has epilepsy and the female is closely related so I had them both neutered. I do other training with them though and both have passed the Bronze CGC and are working to get a sliver.
Thanks for the answers they are very helpful and just what I was looking for.
Cheers
Julie

Nothng to stop you showing yoru Belgians though, you only need inform he Kennl Club they are neutered.

You can do NFC if your not showing aswell.

Not for competition, it just allows them in the venue, no puppy can be judged at a KC licensed event under 6 months of age.
