I would hope not, as that would mean the tests are inaccurate and a waste of time.  What does the DNA test for colur tell you and does it work for all breeds?  Would it tell you about genes that cause certain patterns, mismarkings?

For me, it told me what hidden colours , if any, Molly had, so I could choose a stud accordingly............

I found this useful for my breed

i do know how to work the colour chart and the know of one dna company that i use for my dogs colour dna.over 10 years ago with no problem with their colour dna

but know of a dog that has had the colour dna done and was stated what colour it was carring then in a litter a different colour turned up.

so both dam/sire must both have to carry this colour gene to get the colour that turned up. but this is not the first time i have heared this, the other time was from a different country to the one i heard off but same breed but no link in the pedigrees

Were DNA tests done to confirm paternity though?
