I was at a show today showing a dog I own in partnership with 2 other people. A couple of hours after getting home I had a knock on the door. One of the co-owners had been found dead in her own home. She was only 39. :( Apparently she had lain for a couple of days before being found. Now I know why she didn't answer her phone on Thursday night :( :(

Sorry to hear this, how awful to go so young and all alone :( :(
Jackie was a diabetic, and I've been hearing all day that she was forgetting to take her insulin, so it may be the cause of death :( I just can't believe it. We'll not know until all the tests are done. These past couple of weeks haven't been good, have they? I've also just lost an uncle, though his was expected.
My OH's mum is diabetic - she was also getting very forgetful.
As no one (even her kids that still lived with her didn't realise) realised what she wasn't doing (not taking medication) etc.
She also used to get pretty defensive etc when questioned.
She ended up having a stroke.
She was lucky and survived but is now disabled and can't use her left arm and hand, eyesight diminished, and leg not
wonderful. But her children are now very careful that she does take her medication etc.
So sorry to hear the news, it's never nice losing someone close to you.

This is so sad
My cousin & I are both diabetics & now I am living alone I have a friend & also neighbours who check on me daily(neighbours are brilliant, Elaine being a nurse practitioner-if they are away she asks me to keep an eye on the boys & them me LOL)& my cousin has carers who go in daily. He forgets more than I do but is good with eating & insulin so far
Jackie's parents are both ill, which is why I didn't bother too much when she didn't answer the phone. I thought she was just visiting them :( So much life ahead of her, no more.
