It varies, according to the area and what's provided; anything between £10 and £20. Her best bet is to phone around all the kennels in the phone book and ask.

We pay £11 a night at a great boarding kennels. Other fees I have lookes at vary between £9 at a small kennels which I personally wouldn't use for various reasons and £15 per day or part of for boarding as a part of a family in the family home with owners own two dogs and a maximum of two boarders at a time.

These prices are for boarding in the South East of England. :)

The last kennels Remy and Opi stayed at charged £6.50 a night each; it's a little more if I want to use their standard feed, but I always provide their normal diet so I get a small discount.  The kennels aren't top-of-the-range - but they're being rebuilt this year with only a small price rise, and the level of care is top notch, they even put the heating on early each evening to cater for Remy without raising the price.

By contrast, a place I did some christmas work at charges around £10 a night, and the care is minimal - the dogs get 5 minutes' walk twice a day, just enough for the kennel to be cleaned and the water changed.  The dogs are left for up to 6 hours after the morning walks, and until the next morning after the second walks.  So ask around for prices but also check out what you're getting for it - higher price does not mean better care.  Personally, much as I like the people, I won't be boarding my dogs there.
