We've had a very sad, sombre few days,and are missing Libs and Jazzywoo like mad - we know that others need our prayers and positive thoughts - so here's one (or maybe two).    As I'm one of the wrinklies (although I REFUSE to get my bus pass, because I haven't got the curley perm) I take it upon myself to give to you the following words of wisdom:-

.........And remember this motto to live by: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I'd like to think of Libby and Michelle skidding in like this - cheers girls!

Have a wonderful day {{{hugs}}}}

We have two members who will be surely missed but both who enjoyed great lives, with many friends around them and left many memories for alot of people.

Great words Margot, one's we should all live by.

"Live everyday as if it's your last (But don't gamble all your money away just incase! ;) )"

Margot.............I will be with you all the way......No more just in case, but more 'face it' if we have to.

I tried lighting one but it didn't save it or go back to the candles page.

Thought was there..........

Well said!!!

My OH attended his grandfathers funeral this afternoon and he certainly lived like that, albeit, whiskey in one hand and ciggie in the other!! ;)

Cheers!

Another text that says a lot for me :

Courage

To laugh is to risk being a fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach  out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self
To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss,
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure;
But risks  must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing,
The person who risks nothing,
Has nothing,
Does nothing,
And is nothing.
They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, live or love.......
Chained by their uncertainties they are enslaved,
They  have forfeited their freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.
