Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Should I take it personally???

My puppy has been qouted several times now as being a bitch :eek: He most definately has bits between his legs!!!
In the year book it said "my name bitch puppys name" on two occassions!!! I don't know whether they were talking about me or the dog ;-) He is also listed under bitch puppys in the year book
In a critique today it says "lovely lady"!!!
Should I start to enter him into bitch classes :-D :-D
Other (male) dog is getting hopeful that we have made a mistake ;-)
GG (and bitch puppy with bits)

My GR is often mistaken for a bitch but is definitely a dog (minus his appendages though). I think it has given him an identity crisis as he still squats like a girlie at 17 months old. He is very pretty for a boy though :)

Womble reckons he IS a girly :p
- By Geeky Girl [gb] Date 09.02.07 21:02 UTC
Shall we get them together for a "Girly night"??
Maybe that's why is obsessed with balls??
:-D ;-)

Don't you start hinting that my Womble's a girly..... or he'll get his sister onto you :D

Only girlies get their sisters to do the dirty work :-D :-D and I wasn't hinting ;-)

At my pup's first show at 6 months a couple of people mistook him for a bitch... understandable I suppose, he was skinny with not much coat! But one of the trainers at our obedience class has called him a girl on a few occasions, she says it's because he has a pink nose!! So girl dogs have pink noses... that's a new one, do boys have blue noses? :D

My Harvey - ruby CKCS is always referred to as a 'she'. He is so pretty with a little pink nose:cool:

Funnily enough Harley's nose has gone pinky brown this winter - usually it is black :)

my yankie boy always gets called a girl because he is so pretty, but he's definetly all man!!!!

Opposite thing here -my bitch (who has had 3 litters) is usually referred to as "he"!

Well I won't take it personally ...... my pretty little boy took best puppy of breed and reserve best of breed today :cool::cool:

Oops! Pet people in the park often think Henry is a girl as he's so lovely, but show people know - critiques generally say stuff like 'masculine but gentle head' and so on. OTOH my Ellie has often been mistaken for a boy as she is quite big and stocky and had a plain head when younger, though it's coming quite nicely now. Well done on your results! :-)

My girls often get told oh what a handsome boy you are!!!
They are big solid lab girls, I like this type and I really don't mind if others think they are boys.

He is small in height compared to most dogs (although he is the correct height according to breed standard!!). His head is slightly small but he is only 11 months old so he has time to grow. I think that his very cute puppy dog face and his pleading eyes make people think that he is a girl.
I don't mind though, it has not stopped him winning, even if the judge does think he is a girl!! :-D ;-)
