Oh I am really sad to read this. I have been following her posts and admiring the courage she displayed in one so young Its a tragedy and my heart goes out to her family and she will be in my prayers, I lost my dear Mum on Dec 6th last year and am still trying to come to terms with it, Even though she was in her 80's she was as sharp as a button and never had a days illness in her life,apart from colds and coughs etc. Reading about all that Michelle has gone through,at such a young age,and the couragous way she has faced up to her diagnosis and treatment,has made me feel very humble,and i would like to send my sincerest wishes to her husband and family,and hope that her suffering will soon be at an end.
God Bless you all

Most of us only knew Michelle through her posts here - but somehow she touched so many of us with her courage in facing the illness that killed her - her humour and compassion came through in her posts so brightly.

May God keep her in his hand - she will be kept in the hearts of her family and friends - may he give Richard and her family the courage to face the days ahead without her.

And Lucy, thank you so much for keeping us in the picture - it isn't an easy thing to do.

Life can be so short - which of us knows for certain what is around the next corner.

{{hugs}} to all of you.

In Michelle's last post about her chemo...she called us her 'Champdogs Angels'
I think we all know, it was the other way round....
She is our Angel.. of hope,courage and amazing spirit.
If I had even one ounce of the amazing spirit Mich has I'd be proud...
But proud I am..and glad..that life and CD brought me along the same path as Michelle and we were able to walk and chat a while...and my life is sooo much so the better for that.
My friend,My inspiration, may your spirit always walk with me..it shines such bright guiding light.
my Love,my respect and always my friendship HG x x x x x

My thoughts .....

I am crying. well sobbing now reading all of this thread :(

Michelle and me have some how built a one off friendship how this has happened I am not quite sure :)

We have been communicating for so many months now about when she went for the first Op and she ended up having the hysterectomy and then all the crap  :mad: I was going thro crap as well with my women problems and back problems but I am so lucky I am ok now :cool: Which Michelle all along was making sure I was ok :)

We have since then built a one off relationship which we both have learnt so much from each other :cool:

We have communicated and I think understood what it means to say what we felt rather than what we think people are expecting , I think we sort of learnt in a little way how to do this :)

Michelle as you said to me in the card and the figurine , we will always be 'Sisters by Heart' and this will be forever. This will be one of my most treasured things until we meet again :)

All my love forever

Lucy

It is with great sadness I have to tell you Michelle passed away this morning at 7am.

She went very peacefully, was ready and accepted her fate.

Richard kindly rang me to tell me and said that he is very relieved for her now she has gone to a better place. He said he felt priviliged to have been able to spend 11 years with her and is glad she isn't suffering anymore.

Her funeral will take place next week and Richard has said that it will be a celebration of her life and the more people the go the better as it is to be a day filled with happiness as that is what Michelle wanted :)

He will ring me to give me more details early next week.

I feel very sad right now that I have lost a very special friend but she will always be a star shining brightly for me :)

Sleep well now Michelle

With all my Love

Lucy

This is so unbelievable -it wasn't at all long ago she was posting about going in for surgery and how she was going to fight. :( How brave she was. Richard sounds like a very brave man as well.

So very sad at hearing this. I am crying for somebody I didnt know but I too remember her posting about her illness and hopes.
So very brave.
My love to her husband, family and to her friends here.

I hope you don't mind me posting this poem. I always find it perfect when one so young has to leave.

Val

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Sad to hear, but good that she passed peacefully and is now freed from a horrible disease. Like others I only knew Michelle from her posts but from those got a strong impression of a bright, kind, brave person who must be a loss to everyone she knew. May Richard find comfort that her suffering is past and strength from the time he had with her.

Today (this morning at work) I saw somebody who had just died and I was struck (as I have been often before) at the peaceful look, the pain gone and simply thought sometimes it is right to let go. I hope Michelle you too are now at peace. God Bless.

Oh no, I cat believe you have gone and it was so quick from you posting on here and being so positive. Life is so cruel.
RIP Michelle,
One of us and you will be greatly missed.
I hope you had a pain free passing and you are free of pain and happy where ever you are.
You were so brave and sent your courage onto all of us.

It is always a shock to hear of someone taken so young.  I am so sad to hear that Michelle has gone but always relieved when someone is relieved of pain.

At peace now.  Wishing Michelle's family strength and love xxx
- By Daisy [gb] Date 08.02.07 17:07 UTC
I'm so sad to hear this - but at least Michelle won't suffer any more. On forums it is only the words that convey a person's personality - some people are easier to form an opinion of than others. Michelle was one of those few people that you instantly felt that you would like if you met them face-to-face. One of life's shining souls :) :)

Taken too soon - God Bless, Michelle :)
