An update...

I have only just been able to access my e-mails and have had an e-mail from Richard last week and he has asked me to post as he says he is sure Michelle would like her friends to know the score :)

They are now unable to give her anymore help and so she is in the very latter stages of the disease now and has at the most a couple of weeks now to live. They are trying to keep her as comfortable and painfree as possible.

All I can say is that I do hope the rest of her time is painfree and she and her family can spend as much time together in these last few days.

Stay strong my friend and have peace and love in your heart.

I cannot express how sad I feel to hear this news. My thoughts are with Michelle's family, it is a tough time for them.  Thanks Lucy for keeping us informed, you are a Gem!

Sad news. Hoping that Michelle is comfortable for the rest of the time she has and that she passes gently.

I pray that peace and comfort surrounds Michelle.

What is dying?

I am standing on the sea shore.
A ship sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object of beauty and I stand watching her, till at last she fades into the horizon, and someone at my side says "She's gone",
Gone where?
She is just as large in the masts, hull and spars as she was when I last saw her.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says "she's gone", there are others who are watching her coming.
And other voices take up the glad shout " There she comes".
