Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Exhibitors not cleaning up after dogs!!

At a recent show at Stafford Showground, within 20 minutes of the show opening there were at least 5 - 6 piles of dog doo in the small exercise area. There were poo bins in clear view complete with shovel.  On the way back to the car there was a pile of poo near the front of my car, just left on the pathway. One lady next to me said that she had dog poo on the wheels of her trolley and on her shoes from the droppings left by exhibitors.  Cant believe that some exhibitors are so rude !!

At the one and only show we have been to on the mainland, we were shocked at the dog poo...in and out of poo bags that simply littered the area.

This drives me mad, we make a point of making sure we leave no mess where ever we go with the dogs.  You would think people who are into showing dogs would know better about these things.  No excuses...

You should see the amount that isn't picked up when you walk
from the car parks to the NEC when Crufts is on :eek::rolleyes:
It's not good for those that are responsible owners and do pick up after their dogs.

The walk into Crufts is minging - and its always runny poo, makes you wonder whether those dogs should be there at all

Once at Manchester there was a huge pile right in front of my car, I picked it up myself as I didn't want someone to think I was that irresponsible!

I know I'll get shot down in flames, BUT...I have always found it worse on the days we share with the gundog group! (Ducks for cover....)

One year at Crufts bags were being given out on the approach to the halls, I was amazed at the number of people who ignored this, and there were still piles on the way into the halls which hadn't been picked up   (and yes very runny :(  makes me wonder what some of the dog s are fed or if they're ill :(  )    I've even seen people leave piles inside the NEC and just walk away   would they do this in their own homes???

I have always heard off Dogs taken il after the LKA....(Last qualifier for crufts!!!!) and ive seen loads of runny poo. I stopped taking mine for a couple of years!!! Crufts being the Big One!! .....is no different.

A lot of dogs will be loose if excited or stressed after a long journey, doesn't mean they are ill.  One of mine has a tendency to hang on and not want to go, and then when she finally has to can be a bit loose.

There was a big runny poo full of blood at Midland Counties last year. Inside the main hall by the entrance so every dor that came in had to walk right by it.

We stayed at the Express by Holiday Inn for Midland Counties last year.  The hotel had even put up a special notice on the entry doors asking people to clear up after their dogs but the lovely grass area which was great to walk your dogs on had piles all over the place.  It is hard enough to find hotels that take dogs (and of course venues) without people abusing them.
