I'm (doesn't take much ;) )

I've just had a look at the 'standings' on the CD daily quiz and it says I won on Feb 1st when the topic was the Hobbit...now, I know I had a really rubbish score on that topic and was near the bottom of the list   According to the cumulative scores, I have had one win this month...I don't know which topic it was but I am sure it wasn't the Hobbit!

It also says that Teeny won the 'Get Your Claws Out' topic out of 30 players on 3rd Feb...but that is today's topic and, so far, only 13 have played and Blondbella is the highest scorer 

Can someone explain, please? :)

Not sure why but the winners always seem to be a day out on the standings.  You'll find that when you win one it'll be the day before's topic on the standings list.  No idea why LOL.

I'll try to explain - bear with me, it gets complicated! :D

It's an American site (which is why the questions have such an American slant), so although the days run from midnight to midnight, the 'date change' is at about 5am our time. Now, I'm not prepared to stay up till then (or get up early) to change the topic, so I do it last thing (as long as I remember). That means I've already changed the topic when the site automatically changes the day and that's what causes the confusion. The people listed as winners actually won the topic that's listed for the day before.

Time zones can be a pain! :D

I was SOOOO pleased to see the cat subject LOL!!!! At long last something I knew. :D I'm rubbish at all the general knowledge.
(Of course, Blondbella is my GCCF prefix for the cats!)

Well I played a blinder on the cat topic! :(  Don't know my cats it would seem :)

I did Saturdays one at 3:30 Sunday morning and it had already changed to the cat one, but I still did it again today, same subject but different questions :)

Where can I play this quiz...or is it some sort of secret society?
