I think we will have to go for the 'replace turf once a year' optionNot an option that will make things look better I am afraid :(
As established grass stands up to urine 100 times better than new grass. We have put turf down(Its about a year old grass when it is cut for you to lay) and urine kills it very quickly, it hasnt got the strength to bounce back. You are much better, either, fencing off the grass area in the winter, or slabbing it!!!!
My lawn looks really bad, but in the spring I will spike and feed it and resow the areas that are really bad, and hope for the best :d
