Hi
any views would be great as,
I was considering buying a pop up material dog crates for transporting my dogs in the car, when they are dirty.
Does anyone use one of these and would you recommend it for smelly/dirty/wet dogs as I hate getting my car filthy and with short legged dogs its guaranteed.
thankyou

I bought a large one to use for transport in my old car. I never used it because the fabric completely blocked the view out the back window. If you are thinking of one I would recommend you consider if the size you would need would block your vision and if that would bother you.
Thankyou
I never thought about this.

Hi Laura
I take it you have a saloon not an estate? And the dogs are on the back seats? What I would do then is cover completely the seats and back with an old sheet, newspaper on the floor, and under the sheet on the seat part. Hopefully this will soak up some of the wet and keep your seats clean :) If I know my dogs are gonna be wet or muddy, I use a large vet bed in the back of the estate and some old towels :) And a bottle of febreeze after to get rid of the 'damp dog' smell ;)

Hi Dee
thanx for the advice. I never bothered or felt I had to until I got my new car, which I promised OH I would keep clean.

:D no probs.
My dogs' are not allowed anywhere
near the OH's car :P as its a lot newer, and smarter, than mine  and he is such a fuddy duddy over his 'sparkling' car that he takes pity on me and cleans mine for me, especially when he tells me that there are dirty paw marks and dog hairs in the back and I say 'it doesn't matter' but to him it does so I get mine valeted - often ;) :D :D

We have a seat cover on our back seats which covers the seat and seat back and has holes for the seat belts (which their harnesses clip onto), we then cover that with a towel which can then be washed. :-)
Hi thankyou for your replies.
I have the dog seat belts and covered the seats with a cover, this works great for 3 of my dogs but not for Jack who can't sit still and gets dirt everywhere (Westie with ADHD).
I decided the best bet was to try one so I took Jack and Bruce to pets at home tonight and tried the carriers, I thought that I would get one that would fit the two of them as Jack would be happier with company. I popped Bruce in and he just sat inside the carrier and could not care less but Jack tried to dick him self out, he would have it ripped in no time. I'm now considering an atlas 80.
