Does anyone know of any reasonably priced venues in the South East possibly close to motorways, with parking, that would be suitable for a large breed open show?

There is Longwood Equestrian centre, Basildon, and Towerlands Equestrian Centre, Braintree. These venues both have regular dog shows all year round, but I have no idea of the price Im afraid.

I know alot of breed clubs have started using Tomlinsons Centre
at Markfield, Leics, which is just off the M1. (connected to Tomlinsons boarding kennels)
I know the British Boxer club (open & champ shows & working day)and Bouvier clubs hold their shows there.
I think Rottweiler club also had its show there.
It has a indoor area, with canteen and toilets. The surface is not slippery,
usually big enough for one big ring.
Outside a large area for two rings, fairly flat. (you may need a marquee for wet weather)
Has outside burger bar facility too.
Parking reasonable and they also allow caravans overnight by agreement.
Again not sure of cost.
The other venue to consider in South East could be
Worplesdon - Merrist Wood Agricultural College.
Alton DCs normally hold their open show here (end Sept). Inside venue (horses indoor school) Would have big ring area. Parking not sure how many cars they get in
(I normally go there early) Indoor School area surface, is like a rubber compound, so not to jar horses when jumping, but if you have a coated breed gets mucky, as do the short breeds coats when they sit in it) Gets in your shoes etc.
They have a cabin area which sells food/vending machine, toilet facilities can vary. But at least they have some not sure on cost again.
The other is perhaps Bisley Pavillion, at the NRA,Bisley, Surrey the LHCBoxer club holds it's summer open show & limit show here again not sure of cost. Parking reasonable, bar area, toilets etc. Not sure of cost.

Thanks Ladies

We used to use Bisley and then moved to our present venue which is apparently getting too expensive so the club are looking for an alternative venue. It is a pity village halls are not built just a bit bigger <g>

Any other suggestions ?

I know that there is Worplesdon village hall.
I know that Guildford DCS had it's KC rules & regs seminar there.
But it may not be big enough?
I know I helped out at a breed rescue exemption show there.
So parking on outskirts of field & on hard standing and area outside flat for outside ring.
It has a cricket ground there, so have to be careful for making sure
people pick up after their dogs.
Kitchen area, central hall with stage and then smaller hall at end.
Not sure how expensive it was and it does get booked quickly.
Another venue is Montem Leisure Centre, in Slough. Lot of local open show societies
use it.
Or what about Holyport Memorial Hall, Holyport nr Maidenhead?
I know that Henley DCS use it for their xmas match & Maidenhead DCS use it for their limit show. Although parking can be tight.
Or what about thinking of hiring a Rugby club? They normally have plenty of ground etc.
I know the Great Dane people used to use Henley-on-Thames Rugby club for their open
show, and it has plenty of car parking.

Orsett Show Ground is just 5 miles from M-25 (Dartford River Crossing) in Essex. I know that Agility Clubs sometimes book it. Water is laid on, but there are no buildings (this weekend it will be used for the Orsett Show with exemption dog show) -usually it has marquees & toilet blocks. If you want further information, I'll get it for you (it would be rather nice to have a show venue just minutes away!!!)

Or there is Brentwood Centre Showground, Doddinghurst Road, Brentwood, Essex - they have been holding the All about Dogs show there. Its nice and big and easy to get to via the M25
