Just had blood test results back from my vets and they think my girl has addison disease.  I'm so upset.  Has anyone experienced this before? 

One of the girls I work with had a lab with addisons and he lived to the great age of 12 before she lost him. She had to give him great care and medication but it was managable. Sorry no practical advice but hope this makes you feel all is not lost and with the correct care she could lead a long and happy life.

What breed is she??

There is a really helpful Yahoo group that helps with auto immune diseases.
It's called CIMDA.

My boy was tested for Addisons in the summer, thankfully his results came back clear.

Thanks everyone.  I couldn't reply lastnight as she was taken in to be put on a drip.  Further test will be done today to give the correct diagnosis.  If it is addisons they explained there are drugs to treat this condition.

Called vets to see what time I could go and pick her up and they might have to keep her in again overnight on fluids.
