I have two Westies who have both been 'done'. For the past 6 months the oldest (Steve) who is 3 wont stop humping his bed blanket or our pillows or cushions, (basically what ever he can get hold of) we got him 'done' when he was just over a year old.  Our other Westie (Paddy) again got 'done' when he was over a year old and he doesnt seem to have any urges.  I thought once you got your dog 'done' and a few months passed that they stopped with all the humping, he seems to be getting worse, he even tries to hump Paddy on occassions.
As i type Steve has just finished doing his do and has peed on the carpet which is a first.

Have i got the most horniest dog? He only seems to hump in the evenings normaly after he has eaten or when they have a mad half hour of energetic fun!

Help!!!!!!!!!

Castration doesn't necessarily mean a dog loses his natural urges, as you've found out! The only thing it guarantees is that, after a certain amount of time, he'll be unable to father a litter. It's not uncommon for castrated dogs to mate and tie with in-season bitches. Remember that bitches hump too - my spayed bitch does, only after her supper! - it's not just an act confined to males, and it's not just sexual.

Hi there

My castrated Lurcher still did it after he was done although he doesn't now he's almost 11.  My bitch pup does though, she could hump for Britain :D  She only does it on my other entire dog though.  She's not interested in trying on our Lurcher, but i think thats because she realise's he's the boss and possibly wouldn't let her anyway.
