Do you all think that because of global warming your girls are having longer seasons & coming in early. My girls seem to be the flagging & humping seem to be going on a lot longer they have turned into right little hussys.

In a word, no. If anything it's more likely to be because of the hormones in the tap water they drink, or even central heating.

Just a quick question related to seasons....my girl is 20 days in season at the minute. She was mated last season (9 months ago) and so is being a right tart at the minute, despite the fact that the boys are both castrated and not at all bothered with her in the least (she is fenced off from them though just to be on the safe side). Along with two castrated males I also have a speyed bitch in the house at the minute (my father-in-las two have been with us for a few months while he sorts his new house). My question is:
Do bitches wee more when in season?
She has been weeing in the house overnight pretty much every night since she went into season. I don't think she has a UTI, but as she is bleeding a bit still it would be difficult to say. She was nicely housetrained before except the odd accident. Is she marking? Its only overnight though, she is doing it about ~2 hours after going to bed so I don't think she is desperate to go, as she has always gone through the night OK all her life? Is it because she is fenced off from the others and lonely?
I'm going to the vets on Tuesday with one of the boys as he has a bacterial skin infection so I will ask them while I am there, but would be very grateful for your thoughts.
In answer to your question "Do bitches wee more when in season?" - Yes, they do. However, I have never had one wee in the house because of being in season. I would suspect that she is a bit stressed at being separated from her friends and is unsettled and therefore up and about rather than sleeping and then wees. Would it be possible for her to sleep with the other bitch? However, it is possible that she has a UTI. If you are worried, maybe it's worth giving the vet a call tomorrow, and thinking about taking a sample in for them to check.
Best wishes

Thanks,
I will put the other bitch in with her, and will ring the vets first thing tommorow and take a sample with me. I'll let you know how that goes.
Here's hoping that a bit of company will solve the problem
