Not sure which section to put this under but here goes.
Bit of background info... My neice (my sister's daughter) is, unfortunately, taking after her mother in that she has waaaay to many animals. She's one of these people who sells them, then replaces, sells then replaces, always with the "it's heartbreaking to have to rehome him/her but..." tagline  She has two kids of her own and is only 20 herself. She "rescues" a lot of her animals (by rescue I mean she sees them in the local papers and buys them - that, to her, is "rescuing" them as they may go to someone who won't love them. (Stick with me... it gets worse  ) My sister and I get along OK as long as we don't talk about animals and how best to keep them (you can guess who the neice got all her ideas from). We have VERY differing views on animal husbandry!
Anyway...
Last week I went to my local Farm Warehouse and I always stop to read the for sale and wanted postcards in the lobby. I couldn't believe my eyes - there was this ad, with my neice's phone number, stating "Wanted. Stud dog for pretty lemon spotted Dalmatian bitch. Must be local. Dalmatian prefered but
any large breed considered" !!!

I just stood there in shock! I looked round to see if anyone was watching then whipped the postcard off the wall and stuffed it into my bag.
My neice already has this Dally bitch plus a Bulldog, a Chinese Crested (AND one of the resulting puppies from the previous two :( ) plus numerous other animals. On top of all this I heard my OTHER neice (sister to the one above) has just aquired a part bred Bloodhound bitch IN WHELP!!!! In whelp to what I dread to think, as she got her from someone who breeds Dogues, Mastiffs, etc.
There's no point in talking to my sister about it as she wouldn't see anything wrong with it. I've told my Mum and she said she'd have "words" (you know the sort of power Grandmothers can weild :d ) with both my neices, but apart from that what else can I do?
I'm so ashamed to be associated with this sort of practice. What's worse is that I know for a fact that they tell people their Aunt (Me) is a successful breeder/exhibitor/judge to make it appear that they know what they're doing!!
If anyone has any bright ideas as to what I can do please don't hesitate to tell me. I've got no qualms about reporting either of them to any authority regarding what they're doing but, to be honest, I don't know if they're breaking any laws. I'm just devasted that I'm related to these people. :(
