We've all known this for years (although it might not be so good for the health of your bank balance) but now it seems as if the medical profession are saying the same......
I wonder if this has been more pronounced since the current 'fad' for everything anti-bacterial :( :( It really shocks me how obsessed some people are with cleaning, particularly where children/babies are concerned :(
Especially given that some of the chemicals in these anti bacterial products are actually carconegenic (sp?)
I've recently found a 'recipe' for a cleaning product that uses all natural ingredients,(vinegar/lemon juice etc) and it's supposed to the job just as well but with far less environmental harm.
I tried the Environmentally friendly cleaning products you can get in most Supermarkets (can't remember what the make is called ) and found them to be absolutely useless
My mom used to tell us to brush our food off when we dropped it and go back to eating it. "a little dirt will never hurt you" being a commonly heard phrase in our house. I was never off sick 1 day in all 6 years of primary school so she must have been right.
