And three instances of puncturing veins with any associated risk. Who is recommending this regime Maria?
**Yes, evidence proven using the scientific method IS the be all. **
Nope thats not true at all. Not everything in life is borne out by evidential proof.
Take faith for example............etc etcetc ;)
By the way I am NOT a pleader for homeopathy, I`m a believer of it a also few other things as well :D :D

People can read back my previous post and see what a sick dog I have had, I have paid out thousands in attempt to get him better. I was stupid enough to agree to the booster vaccination this caused him another reaction causing more complications. My vet said there was nothing more they could do for him and offered to refer us to a homeopathic vet something we where deeply against and it took us one month to decide to go for it. We couldn't stand seeing him suffer we thought we would give it a chance, if it didn't work then we would have to consider the final option.
4 months on we are all amazed. My dogs breathing attacks have stopped, his stomach is more calmer, his skin condition has improved, he has more energy, he has put weight on, he has no pain and is enjoying his life. Everyone that has seen the results are amazed, my conventional vet can not believe his eyes my dog is not recognisable to him or any of the other vets in the surgery, they are in constant touch with the homeopathic vet and they are over the moon with his progress and so are we so much so the surgery I go to are in hope to have a homeopathic vet working in the surgery soon.
Anyone that says homeopathic vets are charlatans who just give out sugar water tablets does not know what they are talking about my dog health proves this.
I believe in vaccinating and won't have to make the decision again for three years the vaccine company & vets have told me my dog has not to be vaccinated yearly. Personally I am for vaccines just wish they could stop my dog reacting to them :(

I can not amend my above post.

The vaccine company and my vets have said after 3 years I have to titre test him before deciding to vaccinate him again.
I still worry about not vaccinating yearly for Lepto but they have all said the risk is low and not to worry doest not stop me I still worry

There is a titre test for lepto now so it's probably best going for that. Once a dog has reacted adversely to a vaccination then he/she is more than likely to react again.

Maria they have told us he would/could react again. It is a huge risk either way to us damed if we do damed if we dont :(
We try to look on the bright side just now as he is making huge improvements. :)

I would just like to add a bit on food. After having a very sick 3 year old male dog last year made me evaluate what food I was feeding to most of my youngsters. Like you I was feeding Purina Proplan, the Salmon & Rice variety. The vet diagnosis was pancreatitis. Something that could cause this is a very high Fat content in their food. My dogs symptoms were vomiting, and at the later stage actually bringing up blood, distressing for me and my boy. When I actually sat down and thought about how my dogs had been over a period of time, it dawned on me that I was getting bouts of "sickness", but the dogs seemed well in their selves. When I told the vet the fat content in the food, she was very surprised that it should be this high, 19%. So, if a dog has an underlying intolerence, by feeding the fat food, its going to make them poorly. After all, humans react in the same way if they eat a high fat diet, gall stones, vascular problems, to name just a few. Needless to say, they came straight off the food !! They are now on food which is 12% fat and 26% protein, Lamb & Rice based, with about a 33% meat content. I have had no bouts of sickness since and its been nearly 6 months. The dog that was ill has actually started to put on a bit of weight and the others are very fit and happy. What's more they really love the food. I use the Salmon & Potato, has rice in too, for my oldies and "middle aged" bitch of 61/2yrs. She is now looking her best, good coat, full of energy and acting like a youngster, and she's had 3 litters !!. I am so pleased with the food, I am using the Bitch diet, for my young bitch in whelp.
