- By abraham [gb] Date 16.01.07 15:08 UTC
oh hell, nerves and bags under the eyes. look out for the deshevelled woman with the equally disshevelled dog who obviously has not a clue what she is doing, or where she is going. please just point me in the right direction and pray hard for us, very hard.
- By Missie Date 16.01.07 15:19 UTC
Calm down :) I'm sure you will be fine.
When you get there, come and find us, have a cuppa and relax :)

PS  just remember to leave in plenty of time, that way you can enjoy the day without panicking. We aim to get there for 9 even though the dogs' will be in first.

- By Missie Date 16.01.07 23:19 UTC
We will be leaving around 7 ish, hopefully won't be too much of a queue when we get there
As Claireys says, you could buy a benching chain there maybe, they don't cost too much :)

Still got to bath her yet, well her leg/tail furnishings anyway, but just heard the weather is gonna be c*** tomorrow and Thursday so will have to do her indoors

- By abraham [gb] Date 20.01.07 13:24 UTC
i think the term is crashed and burned. but i do think she handled herself well and i know a couple of exhibators where impressed with her and thought she should of had a shout, well thems the breaks i suppose we are still the new girls.
well pleased with her gaining her bronze KC test though. she has only had three sessions at a kc training classes so did not come home empty handed. although anyone going up along the a34 route a word of warning major road works took me 3hours and 20 minutes to get there and 6 HOURS to get home, if possable avoid the streach between oxford and the m3.
met up with dee which was nice and a few people i have met along the way

Went today just to watch and a dog that I bred, Caroline's Bri got Best Bitch and my other friends puppy got Best Puppy, so it was well worth the travel up there :d
- By supervizsla Date 21.01.07 19:02 UTC
After a long break i plucked up the confidence to take Ziggi. Well she suprized me hugely. She stood well even without practise as i have been at uni. Also she was really good around all the dogs. I was so nervous but Ziggi got Reserve in PG bitch (not qualified for crufts but hey) and there were 15 in her class all being handled by "proffesionals".
She has gone home with my dad now but I just want to keep giving her huge hugs for being such a good girl.
Any ways sorry for bragging but I am just so proud - even though it is not anything big.
Thanks
Anna

Went today just to watch and a dog that I bred, Caroline's Bri got Best Bitch and my other friends puppy got Best Puppy, so it was well worth the travel up there

I think I  saw her take that..  as the  breed took my fancy  so sat and watched for a while , was she the chocci/brown  bitch,  sorry if that is the wrong  wording.    never had much to do with the breed so dont know a lot about them  but they seemed delightful little dogs,  all as happy as can be.

Can you answer a question for me,    this is not a  critisism, pleas dont take it that  way, but I noticed her (  Bri)   i think,  coat was a little more fluffy than  some of the others,  some looked a little more groomed/clipped  if that is the right way to say it,  were she looked a bit more natural???   just wondered why this would be,   are both exceptable.

Just wondered if you could anwser this for me, as  a complete novice on the breed , and not being around them, it was something  that had me wondering.

Hi there

If she was the light golden brown one then yes it was Bri.  She's just turned 18 months.  If it was the darker brown one in the Open Class then no it wasn't her.  She is the one that had the full woolly coat with a full head coat and curly body.

Her coat is the correct type.  Some of the dogs have been clipped fairly recently so that's why their coats would look different.  It's hard now to get the coat just right for the show year with Manchester now being in January.  previously you could clip them straight after LKA so they were ready for the new season of champ shows with Manchester now being in January it is hard to know when the best time is to clip them as the shows are now all year round.  Luckily I don't think I saw any brushed or combed ones but there were a few with funny head coats that looked as though they'd been brushed straight or something, but really they all looked natural to me.   Of course the cream ones with tails were Lagotto's and not Spanish if these were the ones that you were getting mixed up with :d
- By jackbox Date 23.01.07 20:26 UTC
Yes it was her I saw, she was lovely, I did wonder if some had been clipped,  I did not know you could clip them,  but then i dont now much about them any way lol.   It was just luck that I  saw her, as I had gone to visit my friend with her Vissies, but missed her, so  had a wonder.

lovely girl and lovely dogs,  they looked so happy.
