I didn't use Liquid Lifeaid but Nutridrops this time. It does tell you on the bottle how much you can give by weight. Another one you could try is Dopram V drops. These aid with respiration, ie; if you have any puppies that are slow to start or are not breathing. For what they cost they are worth having. You can get them here http://www.farmrite.co.uk/product.ds2?p=105259

I use Nutridrops too and always have Dopram V to hand.

Farmrite are out of stock of Dopram V at the moment, not expecting any more until beginning of February, I managed to get some from a company called Northolm supplies http://www.northolm.co.uk/  I also have the Nutridrops.  Dorpam V do have a short shelf life but definitely worth having.

Hi

I have sent you a pm with information I recieved from the manufacturers of Liquid Life Aid.
Against TOS for some of the info to be posted.
Though I have used it in the past the size of container it is available in is just to large.
I end up throwing away more than I ever use.  One or two little Papillon pups just couldn't
use it all.

(Liquid Life Aid as described by the maufacturers.)
This product is marketed for the treatment of dehydration and energy loss in large animals (ruminants) as a consequence of diarrhoea and other digestive and metabolic disturbances. It is presented in 1 litre plastic bottles.

I now use the manufacturers own recommended canine product.

I used Royal Canin vet sachets to rehydrate my puppies this time, they worked really well. I also used the Nutridrops on some of the smaller puppies to give them a wee energy boost, Mum also had some as she wasn't very well. I was also advised to give the puppies that were being topped up with a bottle some a small amount of natural bio yoghurt to stop them getting the runs and it worked.
