Topic Dog Boards / Showing / National dog show entry fees online
- By Blue Date 20.01.07 20:54 UTC
I haven't yet seen it with any other show societies but I noticed that the National Dog Show is not only a tad greedy at £22 per entry BUT they are actually going to charge £24 to entries made on-line during the online extension period "19th March until midnight 28th March".

Not sure what others think but I think it is quite greedy to be honest.

It personally doesn't affect me fortunately at this time in my life but I know of many who plan their show entries along with salaries etc and March can be a heavy month for show entries for those who do a lot of shows.

The whole purpose of online entry was to make things easier for everyone not to start making money out of it. Crufts give a online discount so why not other societies or at least leave them the same. :rolleyes:

I am going to post my entry off with proof of posting. If the secretary wants work, then he can have it! If it wasn't for the fact that I like the judge of my breed, I wouldn't be going as I think it is appalling what they are doing.

I thought the idea of online entries was that it was less work for the secretary? I think £22 for the entry is bad enough as I don't feel Stafford is big enough for a representative show & we always get a small ring.

What a Great idea!

I was going to ensure i entered on time, but yep looks like i will go back to Pen & Paper for this one! Can we not try and persuade everyone to do this? LOL

I'm not sure who's idea this is as it doesn't sound like the idea of the secretary.  It's only making more work for herself.  Does seem abit strange.  Maybe it's worth somebody asking what is going on?

Well from what i can gather it's not the printers.......

Not sure who it is and being honest I don't really care as a society someone has made the decision and it is greed.

Loads of shows are held at the same venue. National terrier is a smaller show with less entry fees.

How can we encourage new exhibitors at this rate.
