I bought on of those glade automatic airfreshners today, the ones with batteries in that go off every so many minutes.  someone at work has one and said that her cats jump in the air everytime it goes off :p  so im sat here and every 9 minutes this thing goes off,  I jump and the boys just lay there like nothing happened   Smells lovely though

They are good but I must admit I do prefer open windows :D

Open windows are fine Lucy if you don't live in Devon, I swear it does nothing but rain here and as for the gales!!!

We have these air fresheners as well and they are the only ones I have ever found to work over the doggy smell. Where we used to live they had a cherry blossom scent which I liked but here we get lavender and thats your lot!!!

I have these too, great for where the cats litter tray is! I too would open windows, but we have busses every few mins passed the front of the house , and a neighbour who smokes (&chucks his tab ends over the wall ) by our back yard. YUK!

I use those air freshners as well, love the 'christmas' one.
Open windows are fine except in rush hour when you have car/bus fumes/noise to endure  or bonfires! My back door is open all day until next door decide we need to listen to music. I prefer to open windows but needs must sometimes :)

Open windows for me - OH wouldn't allow an air freshener in the house. Doesn't want to be breathing in a load of chemicals :)

I have the Ambi Pur, 3volution, plug in with the 3 different bottles of fragrances, it changes smell every 40 minutes I love the green one - fresh new day.

I have the 3volution airfreshners too, however it's a constant battle in my house of OH turning them off and me turning them back on, he hates them and says they give him an headache.

Must admit that we used to have these and they were brilliant, loved the different smells but I was becoming really wheezy and breathless and felt really groggy.    Switched them off and opened the windows and doors and within an hour I felt heaps better.  One of my kids turned them on one day and again I started feeling queezy so I ditched them!!  I too just open the windows now and our back door is open most of the day (when not raining )

I prefer open windows too - but not this time of year, it whips a gale round here

I really like the mobile Oust, means I can put it in whichever room needs be, love the fact it also removes the smell rather than cover it up & it's battery powered!

Although for night time snuggles you can't be a couple of scented candles, especially round the bath :)

I can't have artificial fragrances in the house as I'm allergic to many of the chemicals used in most of them.  OH hates artificial scents with a passion so it's fresh air here as the only option :)

Although, at Christmas, I put a cinnamon stick on top of each of the radiators downstairs and the house smelt wonderful :)

What a great idea shaynlola.  I had never heard of that.  I actually have some sticks lurking that must be coming to the end of their life so I'm now off to try it!  :)

If I put Cinamon sticks on my radiators, they would last 2 minutes before one of my dogs would eat them !!!!!!
Lea :)

That's about the only thing I've found that Shay won't eat!! :D

Yankee Candle wax tarts - they just melt in an oil burner and the smells are wonderful!  Not really any nasty chemicals there!  ;)
