Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Missed Season

Hi, I have a bitch large breed, I mated her on her last season and she missed, she had a very mild phantom with her only sign being milk production. She did not appear to be frustrated or in any discomfort at all, it has now been 9 months since her season and she has not had another, should i be worried or concerned about anything? Any advice is really greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

I wouldn't be. Seasons can often be irregular after being mated or after a litter.

Could she have had a silent season?
How regular are her seasons normally?

My bitch has been quite regular at just over 6 months and just a month longer after a litter, but twice now she has gone 9 months between seasons.

If her body and hormones believed she was pregnant then she might be another two to 3 months.  I wouldn't worry quite yet! :)  No bitch always runs like clockwork when it comes to seasons.....
