I know it's long shot but I've got every faith in you lot :)
My Gas cooker is suddenly refusing to cook anything in the oven other than meringues. It's gained a personality that says "I''m not roasting anything any more!" :( :(
I know it probably needs a good clean (definately!!) but I'm thinking that the temperature controller may be not working. It lights and then the flames come up as they should but then after a few minutes it just switches to LOW and won't get up to temperature (ie. above 100c) this is NO GOOD for cooking the GOOSEY roast potatoes that my family want to enjoy!! (and that's the fault of CDers who were right about GOOSE being the best Christmas dinner :D :D )
Is there anything that can be done for it?? It's only about 10 years old, if that and I'm not really ready to replace it :(
Has the Christmas Goose killed my oven in some wierd form of retribution??

Sounds like the thermostat to me.
Isn't it awful when ovens go wrong, you can hardly do without them.
In a similar vein (don't mean to hijack your thread) I've got my mums 2yr old electric cooker in my garage. Do you think it would be OK, or will the damp have killed it?
PS Goosefat roasters rule!

As long as it's not rusted at all your electric cooker should be ok ;)
If it's the thermostat I don't know what I'll do. It'll probably cost an arm and a leg just to get it fixed and if that's the case it's more than the cooker's worth :(
