I have a very fit and healthy SBT but the last few days have been of great concern to me.

Sunday we had our normal walk came home my boy fell aslepp on the sofa and when he got up he could hardly move, standing him up his legs gave way and he want his normal boisterious self. He slept in the bed with me and was up all night being sick. Monday morning he was fine back to his normal self, drank water had a poo.. I took him to the vets who said that he has probably got an upset stomach and to starve him for 24 hours which I did.

I fed him this morning and he's doing the same thing limping when he walks and really off colour. Although he hasnt been sick..

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? Im obviosuly going to take him back to the vets again but Im really worried as to why his movement is effected.

PLEASE HELP :(

Obviously don't know what your dogs movement is like only what you describe but we are off to the vets tonight as I have a lab who is very wobbley on her feet and is being sick. She had it a few days ago and it seemed to clear up but is back today so off to the vets to check it out. She is very stiff and unsteady on her feet.
Hope your dog is feeling better soon.

All the best for your girl.

Thanks I called the vet again and we're back to the vets tonight shes going to give him some medication to settle his stomach.

To be honest I dont really like pumping them full of drugs.. but if he is in some digestive discomfort then I will have to dose him up.

Beth has been to the vets and when he touched her stomach she nearly hit the roof, poor girl. She has had jabs and has medicine but vet has said he is not sure what it is. We are due back next Tuesday to see him but he has said if she gets any more unsettled or the stomach seems to be more painful then obviously straight back. Her previcox for her legs has been stopped as it can irratate the stomach, she has always been fine on it but he doesn't want anything making her worse.
Since the jabs she is less unsteady on her feet and is currently sleeping on the sofa.

No he wanted to but she got very upset and so her mum (who is a soft touch!!!) said that she can have that done at the end of the week if she is still poorly.
I know I should have had it done BUT I find it very very very hard to make her do something she doesn't like. If she is unwell still on Thursday then will drag a friend a long and she can do that bit.

She is better not been sick since yesterday and much more steady. She has slept most of the last 24 hrs which is good, but know she isn't well as she had to sleep on the bed last night, she is always allowed but chooses to sleep on her quilt instead but last night snuggled up to me in bed, much to Brooke's disgust!!!
She has eaten some id diet and some eggs so will just watch her today and see what happens tonight. If she is still not right tomorrow then we will get back to the vets. I get very stressed if any of them are ill but if it is Beth it is 10 times worse.

Hope your girl is ok!

ron went back to the vets last night and she gave him something for the pain. He had some chicken and rice this morning and fingers crossed so far so good. The vet said if he continues how he was she will take some blood work as it could be pancreatitus. :(

But hopfully just a dicky belly and all will be ok

Well Beth is brighter today so will see what happens throughtout the day. Just had a phonecall cos River has been staying with a friend and she has just rung to say that River is wobbley on her feet and being sick although is still bright (nothing stops this baby from bouncing!!!). She has been away for over a week but I'd guess has whatever Beth has so will be fetching her back today and going to the vets again. Friend very disappointed cos she loves her to bits but River can go again once she is better.
Thinking about it if I charged for people who borrow the dogs (these are people who already have there own dogs) then I'd be rich!!!
