Well...... ive had a heluva time the last 6 months !!! spending a lot of time with my mum in Leeds , my 17 yr old daughter was raped in august my computer broke & my Lupus flared up :rolleyes: thats why i started smoking again , but it doesnt change anything !! so thats why im stopping again lol life goes on , but the ciggies have gotta go !!!! :D :)

13 days ciggie free for me, and 2 days without a nicotine gum too.  However, in the past week I have consumed 3 packs of werthers, family sized bags of rhubarb and custards and cough candys, one pack of wrigleys extra, half a tin of travel sweets, numerous twixes, crisps (I never normally eat crisps), donuts, several home-made jam tarts, biscuits (by the half-packet load) etc. etc. etc..... lol

I didn't mean to give up, my hubby got ill coming back from holiday and couldn't smoke so he decided to give up and after 2 days of listening him say "Thanks, but I don't smoke" :rolleyes: I knew I had to take up the challenge and prove to him I could go a whole day if I really REALLY wanted to...only to find it was easier than I thought and I've made it 2 weeks so far!  This desktop counter is good for reminding you how well you've done and how much you've saved (money and hours of life):  http://www.silkquit.org/sqmmiv/meter.aspx

thankyou all for your kind words ! :) the court case for the rape started on monday morning & ended on monday morning !!! the coward never turned up ! he went awol from the army barracks a week ago (he was remanded to barracks & not prison :rolleyes:) the army didnt inform CID or the courts so we are all on edge again waiting & hoping for them to catch him im still stopping smoking though , on 1st feb , hopefully :) well done to everyone whos stopped , keep it up :)

They will catch up again...if he was for trial I'd guess they have his details dna and all other relevant info. It will just be a matter of time, rest assured he cant hide forever.
I am so sorry for your daughter she really needs to be able to put this behind her.
I say SHAME on the army for not keeping the police and courts informed.
