I have two Golden Retrievers one aged 13 and one 9, I also have a x breed puppy aged 8 months. My problem is that if I walk the dogs together and let them off lead for a run the 8 month old will run at full speed into the younger GR, she doesn't bother the older one luckily. This is now causing problems as the GR will not leave our sides if the pup is loose. We have seperated them on walks, occassionally my OH takes the younger GR with him to work (he is a gardener) and I walk with the older GR and the pup. I also take her to obedience classes and she has just started a puppy agility class, she works well and enjoys what she does. We have gone through aggressive playing and having to have all the toys, the younger GR has never really put her in her place only snapped once or twice but it's like water off a ducks back with the pup. The pup has been well socialised with other dogs and people and never acts like this with other dogs but will make a 'b' line for the younger GR if off the lead not to fight just to run into her. Is this an age thing, will she grow out of it, any advice gratefully received.
