Recently, I purchased a Mini Bulldog. She's a wonderful pet. I'm hoping to further the currently unrecognized by AKC breed. By what association or Club is the miniature bulldog recognized and where might I show my bitch?

Know the guest can't answer but what on earth is a miniture bulldog. Is it like a Pug? Supose it must be, is there a site for them and where do they come from. I supose they might be a cross bred had not thought of that. Ja:)kie

As far as I was aware in the early days of Bulldog development the upright eared ones were called minature Bulldogs, which then developed into the French Bulldog!

Does the guest perhaps mean French Bulldogs???

Or is this one of these funny crosses that seem to be aquiring the title of breed???

Does the AKC not reconise the French Bulldog, think I'll go and have a look. Ja:)kie

AKC recognizes the French Bulldog (non-sporting group) AND the Minature Bull terrier (terrier group) ...so I'm completely at a loss to understand what the poster is referring to. Perhaps "Guest" would consider registering to explain further. It's free :) and we don't bite :)

Not much info but I would guess they are a designer x breed. Jackie
