as you might, know i am expecting a grand daughter
soon !!! We are are struglling for first names.
mum (.i.e daughter) wants Kayla, Carys or Ceris.
Dont like those much !!!!
turning to you lot for help :-)
any suggestions ? ??
Donna

My mum wasn't keen on some of the names I had in mind for my children and I certainly didn't like her suggestions. Also friends of mine have chosen names for their babies that I didn't like. When the little'un arrives though it's funny how quickly you get used to names you didn't like and in fact the names grow on you as the baby's character develops.
Is your daughter struggling for names or is it a case of you not liking her choices? There are lots of baby name websites.

cara i got a girl with this namethat i teach she a very sweet little girl alway happy
i know a ceris what can i say about her not alot.
Anya......... Goddess of Love and Beauty........
Layla ......... Beautiful Girl :)

I like Irish or Russian names myself - Rheanne or Niamh, or Nikita (as if you couldn't guess!!), Ilyana, that sort of thing. I'm not a fan of popular British names though - I like the more traditional ones, like Elizabeth (my middle name) or Rebecca (my sister! My mum had good taste :D).
Dont like those much !!!! I'd give up now mdacey, your daughter will get her way :-) And you will learn to love whatever name she gives.
I always wanted a daughter after my two beautiful boys so have a zillion names. That will never be used. :-( I had some lovely named guinea-pigs though. :-D

My daughter's guinea pigs were called Charlie-Maurice and Mr Padinski so that wouldn't have worked for us :D
my daughters name is CHERIE, everyone adored it as especially it was pronounced with a french accent. that is until BLAIR became pm and now we get the more common sounding pronunciation, which grates on said daughters nerves.

My friend called Cherie is usually called 'Cherry'!

I like Caitlin for a little girl :) And Evie.
My mum didn't like the name Archie, but she's learned to love it. She kept it shut about Noah - again, she didn't like it at first but now she loves it.

I
love Caitlin as a name :) and Jocelyn :)
Too many names nowadays are soap/pop/actress related  which is a shame when it's a name I used to like :D

Well my daughter was going to be a Staci-Jo but instead she is a Sherrie-lee, and loves her name, she loves the fact that she knows no one else with the same name as her. Whereas her class had Jade's, Grace's, Natalie's, Katie's.
My daughter is called Mia, and one of my friends has Freya and Poppy. I love all three names....
However, I'm sure your daughter will settle on a name she and her partner like - if she's anything like I was with my mother and MIL - she'll smile at you, say aren't your suggestions lovely and then go back to whatever she had decided on anyway.
You can only choose your own childrens names - no one elses :-)
Best Wishes
Helen

I love Erin for a girl or Faye

My Daughter is due any day now she doesnt know what she is having but has chosen Felicity-Jane for a girl and Riley(sp) for a boy to go along with her two boys Bailey and Harley

i love the boys names

I have a Lucy and a Sophie Tamsin ....
Depends what sort of name they want really :) Caitlin?
