Very good to start with. :) The narrator said that "all mammals are descended from one shrew-like species ..." Yep, no problem with that. Now, when talking about the emerging hind-limbs of dolphin embryos (der... a mammal, so descended from the same shrew-like species ;)) she says "Scientists now think that dolphins descend from a land-mammal ..." Well yes, you said that earlier! Is she not listening to what she's saying? Now she's just repeated the explanation of 4D. Does she think I have a memory-span of 15 minutes?

I agree with you.  Promising start but not quite fulfilling the promise.  Lots of rather sweeping statements and getting the feeling it's aimed at children!
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 21.12.06 22:19 UTC
Perhaps it was designed to be shown in three half-hour episodes?
- By JaneG [gb] Date 21.12.06 22:20 UTC
lol... I think they have to repeat things every now and again for the peopl that just switch over half way through.. or at least I hope that's the reason! I'm loving it, great graphics :)
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 21.12.06 22:25 UTC
That's dumbing down! If they miss it, they miss it. The ones who were there at the beginning have got bored and gone to bed!

I agree the programme was interesting but why oh why do programme makers think we need things repeated so often through the programme? ......

Ah thinking about it I now realise, the audience is more intelligent than the programme makers think! They think they can get away with repeating things over and over so they only have to make a programnme with the amount of content of a short advert, then stretch it to a full half hour or hour and we will think we are getting value for money! Mmmmmm and the TV licence is going up? I wonder why I cannot be bothered with pay to view TV? Perhaps I just do not like being conned!

Another thing which annoys the hell out of me and stops me watching much TV and certainly not even thinking about paying to view tv, is those programmes where you do not get to see the  thing the programme is about. An example is a programme about dogs, I saw more of a certain dogs legs walking than the actual dog the programme was about and last night there was a programme on about the Bermuda Triangle. There was a part where the divers were going to dive on a wreck, well perhaps I am just an oddity, but I did think it would be good to actually see the wreck. What did we get to see? Oh yes.... the divers going down and divers on the surface, and the wreck? Well I think I saw it once! And then not very clearly.

Hey thats it I shall have to become a programme maker, loads of dosh for not much work! Think I can handle that!

Hi

Ok anyone else as gullable as me and thought the pictures in the womb were for real? They werent they were computer animations the only real pics were the brown scan pics.

It does now become clear, I couldnt for the life of me think were they would put a camera without causeing a miscarry.

It was interesting but I fell asleep at the end, it went on to long and the womans voice was so boring.

The pup were lovely. I wonder how many breeders would allow there dogs to mate without holding them????

The one thing that I thought was bad was that they said that the dog had no problems in this world as all the puppies would be fine and they had no natural preditors ( not the excat words but intimated ;) )  Yes but we all know the problems with over breeding and why do we have breed rescues and the RSPCA etc

I did think the baby Hefalumps birth was lovely

What do you mean,,"holding them"? :)

It's sensible animal husbandry, and a sign of a caring breeder, to hold the dogs by their collars during the tie to steady them and prevent accidental injury (which can be very serious) by them moving too much or trying to sit down. :)

yes i was that gullible:rolleyes:, but couldnt imagine how they could have done it, now i know its not real i'm even less impressed.
