- By Boxacrazy [gb] Date 22.12.06 11:12 UTC
Yup, Weather permitting :)
Have to wait until get home to see my breed entry as haven't got my DW subs yet..
Shall probably be in outside rings with my Boxers :)
- By abraham [gb] Date 22.12.06 11:59 UTC
boxercrazy you have 12 entered , what classes are you in?
- By bertbeagle [gb] Date 22.12.06 14:49 UTC
I should be but our ring is outside could be chilly! lol:cool:
- By newfiedreams Date 22.12.06 22:47 UTC
TWELVE??? Good grief!!! :D
- By Boxacrazy [gb] Date 23.12.06 07:27 UTC Edited 23.12.06 07:31 UTC
PG & Open....watch out for S. So 'N' So and T. Ain't No Saint :)
Oh bum just seen the DW and we are INDOORS....

Oh well at least I don't need the thermals this time :D

Just hope all the blasted fog goes before then and it's not too chilly for
those outside....

Don't laugh but 12 is getting to be a good entry for Boxers at open shows
Sad as when I started showing entry figures at open shows were considered low at 20!
Although at Guildford DCS they had a really good entry of 34! Couldn't go as had that nasty tummy bug
that's doing the rounds :(
Border Terriers have done well at N&W as they've got 22 entered...OH may come along to see them
and he's not bothered about dog shows - he just about does Crufts as it has things for him to look at
& get away from the 'bitchiness' as he puts it  LOL...

missed that we where indoors, prefer outside our classes are straight after yours, we are in P and open, easy to reconise us, i m the lady with the bxxch that is miss behaving, you know the type looks an angel before we enter the ring then sits when should be standing, and god help me if the judge has glasses, she has a thing about them and goes boseyed and wants to "kiss" like mad.

Youngest bitch won't like it indoors if they are playing squash in the courts that are
above the main sports hall...as you can hear all the racket but can't see what's causing it.
So am hoping that our ring will be furthest away from the squash courts....i.e. not near the entrance doors.

Oldest one is bouncy and very vocal - she'll let everyone know she's bored or not....
Or oi MUM attention please....

Cavs seem to vary wildly these days - smallest I remember is 5, biggest 48!
- By Boxacrazy [gb] Date 23.12.06 21:40 UTC
Worst entry I had was 3 -& I had two of them  I ended up with BOB & RBOB
Oh well it was really embarassing especially as the 2nd to
me in open dashed off....still my bitch is about 5 points shy of her Sh CM...
So she's not a bad kettle of fish so to speak..
- By abraham [gb] Date 24.12.06 13:22 UTC
pavlova, i know my forum name is gsd2004, but i actually show a leo, but i am always over looking at the shepherds, they hold a special place in my heart.
- By pavlova [gb] Date 24.12.06 13:24 UTC
whoops silly me, never mind leos are luvverly too:cool:
- By abraham [gb] Date 24.12.06 13:26 UTC
what type do you have english or german lines?
- By Boxacrazy [gb] Date 24.12.06 19:51 UTC
May have Boxers now but I grew up with GSD's..
English type - Tomcrofts breeding.
:)
That was before I even knew about the show world and we even had
ex-show stock too, when I look back at the photo's now you can see them
in show pose naturally...

Hi there, when and where is this show?  I don't live too far from places mentioned and wouldn't mind popping along for a look if I'm not too late.
- By abraham [gb] Date 26.12.06 10:58 UTC
hi john its at the montem leisure centre slough. opens at 9am and judging starts at 10. maybe see you there
- By pavlova [gb] Date 26.12.06 13:27 UTC
Hi my GSDs are of German and international lines, good luck at the show.
- By abraham [gb] Date 28.12.06 09:55 UTC
oh well what a disappointment that was. only 4 leos there, only us entered into puppy so won that, open there where three entries and as i expected got 3rd. came nowhere in working group and nowhere in av puppy so not the best of days, although met some very nice leo owners so not all lost.

Didn't get to go :(
Got a viral bug - felt a bit off the night before but just thought
it was one of those things....
Woke up and felt yuk, and although have pushed myself to go to shows
in the past really didn't feel up to it yesterday.
Spent most of the day asleep on the sofa instead
Gutted as would have liked to have gone. Bait has gone into the freezer now for next show.
Still feeling pants today - got a 'nice' fuzzy head and a bit achey. No energy
& not able to eat properly (but that's an overhang on the nasty tummy bug that I had).
So perhaps it was best I quarantined myself

Glad you enjoyed your day.
Will you be at Chesham show in January at the Montem?
Or Henley on Thames at Rivermead, Caversham at end of Jan?
- By abraham [gb] Date 28.12.06 15:33 UTC
we are at ashford, south west essex and my local chchester and district through january, hopefully by then we will have come up against computition and will know as to wether or not my young lady has showwing pertentual or not, everyone says she is a lovely bitch, but dont know if they are just being kind
- By Boxacrazy [in] Date 28.12.06 16:49 UTC
We occasionally go to Ardingly and Maidstone...
But Slough, Woking, Reading and Oxford are my most local open show venues...
So perhaps we will get to see you soon
Best of Luck with all your upcoming shows :)
