After watching one of those 'make me beautiful' TV progs I emailed them as suggested at the end titles, because I thought taking part would be a brilliant idea......

They've got back to me; phoned today ..... they want some more info.

I've been sat starting at the screen all evening and can't bring myself to complete the info they've asked for.  If I don't do it, will I regret it?  Or will I regret it if I don't!?

ooooh I like Gwok too (every girl should have a 'GBF' wardrobe advisor :D)
not sure about the bit where he puts the naked photo up in lights in the middle of Oxford Circus though

>the naked photo up in lights in the middle of Oxford Circus

I could (maybe, perhaps, just an ickle bit) live with that - nobody knows me in that neck of the woods :D
- By Teri Date 14.12.06 23:04 UTC
Eeeeek, no wouldn't do it personally but would support you all the way if you give the nod of when to watch :D

I'm a bit like my mum - clean for the cleaner coming scenario  so I'd definitely want to be looking my best BEFORE they said they'd make me look better :D  So that would be a strict diet, personal trainer, John Frieda on stand by, a bit of nip 'n tuck - yep, then they could have me :D

If it was hair, cosmetics and clothes plus a healthy dose of 'like yourself' then I'd go for it. If it involved plastic surgery then ask yourself if this is something YOU really want. If you wouldn't do it without their input then don't put yourself in the position to be coerced into something you may regret.

Oh No!  I wouldn't even consider surgery for a moment.  But this is a 'bare-all" show and I can't even begin to consider how embarassing it would be to have your picture projected onto the side of a London building!

Oh yes Jacky go for it  If they are after a pair of friends to do it count me in  :D :D

..........I can't wait to see you on there!!  :)
- By Teri Date 15.12.06 11:22 UTC
Go with the flow kiddo ;)  DO IT :) :) :)

I've only seen that show about a handful of times and thought the differences they made to the ladies were astounding - not just surface changes either, really boosting their self esteem.  PLUS, the photos on the building were beautifully done.  In all honesty, I think you'd be crazy not to do it :) :) :)

Good luck, enjoy, and keep us posted!

OMG!

I've now got to pluck up the courage to find someone to take the required pics!  I sent one and that's what's prompted the call from the researcher.

Lucy I might be round to yours with the camera and my best undies!!!
- By LJS Date 15.12.06 12:23 UTC
Don't worry we can take them next Saturday if you can make it :D :D

:D :D

I am dusting off the fur throws and testing my light dimmers in readiness :D
- By Lori Date 15.12.06 14:43 UTC
Best undies, no way! Wear really big boring pants and try to look dowdy. They'll be crying for you to get on. ;-)
- By Dill [gb] Date 15.12.06 22:56 UTC
Oh if it's Gwok that show is brilliant :)  all the ladies I've seen end up with BAGS of self esteem afterwards :) :) and they look totally gorgeous afterwards :)

Only show I'd be on is the one where they'd give me a new chest and drawers :D :D :D  (smaller ones, that is :D :D )
- By Daisy [gb] Date 16.12.06 13:47 UTC
I'm sure that I'm just the sort of person that they are after :D Overweight, dresses awfully, not exactly God's gift to men, hair usually a mess, don't do manicures, facials etc etc etc. Never buy expensive clothes and the thought of spending £900 on a handbag (LOL) makes me sick as I only have two handbags and only a few more pairs of shoes :D :D

However I just don't care and just can't see why people are obsessed with their looks, clothes, hair, tans etc etc etc Personally, I feel that there are far more important things in life and many a women's (and man's nowadays) lives would be far, far less complicated if looks weren't so important :)

So - as you may have gathered - I won't be offering myself up for prodding and preening :D :D :D

But, if it floats your boat, Jackie - go for it :D

Go for it :D You must have wanted to do it to get in touch with them, and you'll only wonder 'what if' if you don't. And if you did change your mind afterwards they can't make you do it :)
