About a week ago I noticed there was a new channel on Freeview that I didn't have -Five US. (It showed a Stephen King series so I wanted it!) So I had to re-tune my Freeview box to find it. Stupidly enough I clicked okay to replace the old channels with the new.

Well I now no longer have BBC1, BBC2, BBC3 (oh! can I LIVE without Dog Borstal?! :) ), ITV1, ITV2, C4, E4, More 4 etc etc. The first Channel is 5. I have tried every single day to retune to get the missing channels back but no joy. It only finds between 21 and 29 channels in total when it normally is well over 50.

I found a page on BBC that explained how to reboot the Freeview box which should solve the problem -it didn't. So only 2 possibilities remain: 1. It is the weather and I just can't get all the channels because of bad weather (although HERE it isn't too bad.) 2. Our aerial needs sorting out.
SO, before we call somebody out I wanted to check if anyone else is having Freeview problems? Difficulty in getting the channels? The BBC tells you to ask your NEIGHBOURS but I don't THINK so LOL!

Ours went like that once and I think we just turned it off altogether, left it for about an hour, then switched on again and retuned it.  It might be worth a try.  :)

Is there a reset button at the back(or anywhere else for that matter)? I had to reboot mine once & found the reset & then started from scratch otherwise it might be the weather or the aerial that might have shifted due to the winds ? If there is no rest button try switching it of at the mains(or just unplug it)& then switch it back on that might work

No there is no button, but I unplugged it for 10 minutes (as per the BBC's info) and it made no difference. May well be that the wind has moved the aerial in which case we'll just have to call somebody out -typical!
