Got OH a Roberts last Christmas - did look at the Pure but can't remember why we/he chose the Roberts . He managed to break the aerial off after about three days. Bought him a laptop for his birthday last week and he is sitting using the old crap PC :rolleyes::rolleyes: Men :D :D :D

I have been doing the reviews searching and Pure seem to come out on top BUT I don't have a clue about them.

I know what you mean about men and old things.

Men are funny creatures. Mine still has this habit of keeping his good clothes good!!! I don't get it, " just wear the flaming things" I tell him.. :-D

LOL - one is a radio alarm for bedroom, one is radio in kitchen - both have to be DAB because normal radio reception here is non-existent for some reason or other and it drives me mad listening to fuzzy radios. Third one is the stereo in the living room which isn't deliberately DAB, it just happened to be fairly cheap and pretty and NOT have a tape deck.

I've got a Pure Evoke-1 (won in a competition! :D) which seems alright. You can have great fun using both a digital radio and an analogue radio at the same time, because there's a delay on the digital and songs can sound really weird! :D When you add in the even longer delay when you listen through the computer it's like being in different timezones all at once!

you and your winning :cool::cool:

I think I will go for the Pure one after reading some more they seem to be very good.  It will keep him amused on xmas day trying to work it all. ;-)

I am niot being very Xmassy at all this year it is all being big effort.

Just can't shake it this year lucy. I don't even have my tree up. Everything is fine with me in general just can't get motivated.   For once I am even fed up with the buying for the sake of buying.  I have a beautiful huge American tree that is staying in the loft this year I think I will just pull out my smaller Fibre Optic tree that I normally put in the back livingroom. How bad am I this year :-))

I am ashamed.  I have asked every single person to tell me what they want this year or it will be money in a card :-D

I'm not in the mood for Christmas either. We may yet decide to cancel it for ourselves and just not bother, so as not to feel forced to be cheerful and spoil it for others.

You sound like me this year. Something is a miss this year. I mean I am normally the biggest pain the butt with Xmas. :-)

I do typos all the time :D :D My fingers are too fast for my brain :D

Blimey I am the opposite

I have being having a frenzy ordering things on line  I have had so many parcels delivered and all the wrap

I am also organising a Christmas party a week on Saturday  That is doing the invites but not the work as having my back OP on Saturday :D :D

Poor Mike I don't think he knows how many people I have invited  :D

I think you need to administer some more Christmas Spirit ( Baileys ) as that should help get that Christmas feeling back ;) :D :D

Your really Mrs Claus this year perhaps it will slowly rub off.

I have 12 interviews to do Thursday/Fri and I hate interviews. I just hate them :-)

I think My OH is cheesed off with me being cheesed off :-)

We have three DAB radios none of which are any better than listening online................ Bought a Pure Digital portable and later we got two as part of a sound system we bought.

We are in a poor reception area so DAB is not very good. Likewise we cannot get digital TV unless we have sky which I WILL NOT HAVE!!

So check reception before buying

DAB is great :)

We just bought a cheapy from Tesco for £40 because it was the only small one I could find in the pale wood.

Have had no problems with it at all and there is a huge difference in quality of sound.
